From June 27 to June 29, 2013, the 5th Symposium on Molecular Mechanism of Insect Virus Infection on Host and 2013 Academic Annual Conference of “973 Project” (Subproject 3 of Agricultural Bio-control Microbial Agent Synthesis, Application Mechanism and Directed Molecular Modification) hosted by Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) were successfully convened in Wuhan. Some consulting experts, including Prof. Bai Linquan of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Prof. Pang Yi of SUN YAT-SEN University, Prof. Feng Qili of Huanan Normal University, researcher Qin Qilian of the Institute of Zoology of CAS, Prof. Li Lulin of Central China Normal University and associate prof. Liang Changyong of Yangzhou University, attended the event. More than 80 researchers and student representatives in the field of baculovirus basic research from WIV and SUN YAT-SEN University also attended the conference.
